NVIDIA Brings New Networking, Security, and Storage Solutions to AMD Athlon XP Market

Company’s Award-Winning Native Gigabit Ethernet Controller and Firewall Security Solution for AMD Athlon 64 Platforms Now Available in NVIDIA nForce2 Ultra 400Gb MCP

THEALE, BERKSHIRE—MAY 10, 2004— Leveraging the award-winning innovative networking, storage, and security technologies unveiled in the Company’s NVIDIA nForce™3 250Gb media and communications processor (MCP) for AMD Athlon™ 64 processor-based platforms, NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA) today announced the immediate availability of the new NVIDIA nForce™2 Ultra 400Gb MCP for AMD Athlon™ XP processor-based motherboards and PC systems.

Featuring the world’s first native Gigabit Ethernet interface, a hardware-optimised Firewall security solution, and native RAID storage support, the introduction of the NVIDIA nForce2 Ultra 400Gb MCP reinforces NVIDIA’s standing with PC enthusiasts, gamers, and technology aficionados, all of whom turn to NVIDIA MCPs to satisfy their overclocking, gaming, and technology requirements for building the most feature-rich, performance-enhanced, and cost-effective PC platforms possible.

Both the NVIDIA nForce2 Ultra 400Gb and NVIDIA nForce3 250Gb feature NVIDIA’s native Gigabit Ethernet networking, which provides over 200% more networking bandwidth compared to older PCI-based Gigabit Ethernet solutions, while lowering overall CPU overhead.
