ANSYS Acceleration with Tesla Graphics Cards

Leading engineering organizations understand the importance of adopting simulation to decrease the number of physical prototypes they build in their product development process. Companies realize that time is money in making design decisions and the more design iterations you can simulate the better optimized your final product. As a result ANSYS has recently added support for GPU computing to accelerate simulation times by as much as 2x.

And now, by combining the latest versions of ANSYS Mechanical with the new NVIDIA Maximus technology, you can run simulations locally at your desk without impacting productivity.

Innovate Faster with GPU-Accelerated ANSYS Products:

> ANSYS Mechanical for structural response simulations > ANSYS Nexxim for electronics signal integrity analysis

Recent performance studies conducted by Hewlett-Packard engineers working together with ANSYS demonstrated that the Tesla M2050 GPU acceleration of an Intel Xeon 5650 (Westmere) CPU with 2 cores was greater than 3x and for 4 cores greater than 2x, and for ANSYS models of relevance to industry practice.

ISV/Application Supported Features Expected Speed up* Release Status
ANSYS Mechanical Direct & iterative solver 2x Released
Abaqus Direct solver 2x Released
Impetus SPH, blast simulations 2x Released

* Expected Speed Up vs a quad-core x64 CPU based system. Speed-ups as per NVIDIA in house testing or application provider   documentation.
