The Khronos Group ( www.khronos.org) is a member-funded industry consortium of over 100 member companies that creates open, royalty-free standards to enable the authoring and accelerated playback of dynamic media on a wide variety of platforms and devices. The Khronos Group has created industry-enabling APIs including OpenGL ES for advanced 3D graphics, OpenMAX for flexible streaming media acceleration and OpenKODE. OpenKODE is a DirectX®-like set of APIs that accelerate rich media and graphics applications with native source portability across diverse mobile devices. NVIDIA has played a leading role in bringing OpenKODE to market and is committed to providing developers full access to the power of its handheld GPUs through this significant open standard.
The Mobile Industry Processor Interface (MIPI) Alliance ( www.mipi.org) established an industry initiative to define and promote open standards for interfaces to mobile application processors. The alliance ensure the interfaces mobile devices use are easily compatible with the processors inside, keeping an open market for all parties involved.
FLO (Forward-Link Only) Forum ( www.floforum.org) was established to join business leaders involved in developing FLO-based networks, products, and services for the wireless industry. FLO Forum offer members the opportunity to collaborate, to understand end user requirement, and to consider factors that drive success in extending brand, services, and products to target audiences.
SD Association ( www.sdcard.org) is an organization that aims to establish the technical and specification standards for SD Memory Card applications, to promote the SD memory card as the industry standard, and to encourage the development of digital products that utilize the benefits of SD technology.
