NVIDIA Graphics Now Standard in A Range Of Avid Video Editing Systems

HD Finishing Accelerates with Combination of NVIDIA Quadro® Graphics Products and Avid Symphony Nitris

NAB2005 — LAS VEGAS, USA — APRIL 18th, 2005 — NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), a worldwide leader in graphics and digital media processors, today announced that Avid Technology, Inc., the world leader in digital nonlinear media creation, management, and distribution solutions, will integrate NVIDIA technology into a range of its nonlinear editing and finishing systems, starting with its new Avid® Symphony™ Nitris® system. Professional content creators who use the Avid Symphony Nitris system will be able to harness the power of fully integrated NVIDIA Quadro FX 3400 professional graphics solutions, which deliver real-time rendering and leading edge 3D effects.

“The new Avid Symphony Nitris system brings together the unmatched real-time performance of the Nitris DNA hardware with the powerful creative and editing tools of the Avid Symphony software. The NVIDIA Quadro FX 3400 is the industry-leading high-end workstation graphics solution for editing and finishing video applications, outperforming competitive products in standard OpenGL workstation benchmarks. Featuring outstanding performance and precision, the NVIDIA Quadro FX 3400 delivers 256MB frame buffer memory, up to 28.8GB/s memory bandwidth, 256-bit memory interface and support for ultra high-resolution panels up to 3840x2400.
